What strikes you about the movie?
What really struck me about the movie was the monstrosity of some of the humans at the flesh festival. I was really disgusted at how cruel humans can be. Now I understand that these robots were just machines, but the way the people acted just made me feel sick. They were hooting and laughing at robots being pulled apart and melted from acid. I mean these robots may not be living but there are other ways to dismantle robots than by acting like monsters. They could just shut them down somehow or destroy them in a more civilized fashion, but no, instead they decided to act like barbaric jerks laughing at the suffering of others. Now I also know that this is just a movie, but the problem is that there are real people who actually do these types of things. For example, people watch and make dogs fight each other, feeling good at another living thing's suffering. It also happens towards other humans. This fault of humanity is something that is just not right.

I agree with you I think it was completely inhumane for them to destroy the robots in this manner. The robots never even did anything bad it's not like they tried to revolt or anything.
ReplyDeleteWell to them they were just soulless machines and they felt as though they were supposedly getting back at the robots for " taking over the world" or " them being spawns of Satan". Also they were destroying them for a sick sense of entertainment. Plus they were abandoned robots and robots that are not abandoned are usually properly shut down in the labs where they were created them.
